Santa Barbara was made for dogs.

Trails, beaches, and open space — yours should be out in all of it.

Most dogs in Santa Barbara aren't getting enough. Not enough movement, not enough challenge, not enough time doing what dogs were actually built to do.

We started SB Dog Jog because our own dog Marley needed more than a lap around the block. Once we started taking other dogs out for real runs and hikes, the difference was obvious — calmer at home, sharper on leash, happier overall. A tired dog is a good dog. We mean that literally.

Dogs want to get it right — they just need someone to show them how. When that clicks, you don’t end up with a dog that behaves. You end up with a dog that’s balanced

Every dog that joins us gets a major life boost.

That’s the goal, every single time.

A service for every dog

DOG TRAINING

Private, one-on-one sessions built around your dog's actual personality. We use a balanced approach — clear rewards when they get it right, clear corrections when they need redirection — and we tie training into real-world situations: walks, hikes, and time around other dogs. We only do private sessions, so every hour is focused entirely on your dog and you. The goal isn't a dog that performs on command. It's a dog you trust, in the places you actually go together.

DOG WALKING

For dogs who do best at an easy pace — older dogs, recovering dogs, or pups who just need a solid midday outing. We keep the route safe, the energy calm, and the tail moving.

PACK ADVENTURES

Four-plus hours of beach runs, big hikes, swimming, and real play with a small group of familiar dogs — usually the same crew of four to eight, so your dog knows the pack and hits the ground running. What makes it different from any other group outing in Santa Barbara: every adventure is led by Katy, who's also a trainer. Light training is woven into the whole day — socialization, manners, and real-world skills practiced in real-world situations. Your dog comes home tired, happy, and a little better than when they left.

DOG JOGGING

Our signature service. Built for dogs who need more than a walk can give them. Regular runs build endurance, settle behavior, and burn the kind of energy that would otherwise go into your couch cushions. If your dog has gears, we'll use them.

DOG HIKING

Trails, trees, and open air. We take dogs into the real Santa Barbara — Jesusita, Romero, the hills above town — not just the sidewalks around it. One of the only services in the area that gets dogs off pavement and into nature, where they can move the way they were built to. New terrain, new scents, and real physical challenge do something for a dog that a neighborhood walk simply can't. It's more than exercise — it's the kind of outing that reminds them what being a dog actually feels like.

BOARDING

At your place or ours. Your dog gets personal attention, real exercise, and a routine that keeps them comfortable while you're away. No kennels, no chaos.

WE PICK UP FROM Goleta to Carpinteria!
